One Moment Away From Failure

There is a story that just came out that Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft was charged with two counts of soliciting sexual favours in Florida last month which, at this point, he categorically denies.

Now if you know me, you know I’m a dire-hard Pats fan. My son was born in Connecticut which is why I chose to like them 20+ years ago. So I’m not going to entertain all the smack and hate that may come my way because of it.

But it IS a sober reminder that ALL OF US are simply one moment away from failure, poor choices, and wrong doing.

We ALL have been given today. If you are reading this, you also have been given today. To live. To choose right or wrong. To choose a better life.

So, rather than jump to conclusions, or jump on a band-wagon, or jump on a warpath, I take this time to reflect on whether I will make choices that will better me and those around me, or choices that will hurt me or those around me.

I am grateful for grace. Thankful for forgiveness when I’ve blown it. And appreciative when mercy was granted when I have deserved far worse.

Whoever you are… the richest or poorest, make today a better day for all around you.

At least that’s how I see it.
